EXPLORATION!

This is one of the first ledges on the Gold Bar Rim trail. Here you can see the white scratches from vehicles which have dragged various parts along the slick rock.

The black marks are from tires clawing their way back up the incline. As usual the photos don't do justice to the steepness and height of the ledge.
This is the ridge which borders Moab Hwy. 191 runs parallel to the ridge.

Deep blue skies and loads of red rock greeted us on the Mill Creek Trail.
Rick , Jack and Char taking a break just after crossing  Mill Creek. The water level was very low at this time. This area is susceptible to flash floods and high water levels.

This photo of our Explorers was taken from the shady retreat under a slick rock ledge. This was a great place to have lunch along the Gold Bar Rim trail.
